In 2004, as part of Fulton County’s commitment to operate an effective government, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners launched the Fulton County Citizen’s University, a series of interactive courses offered to Fulton County citizens, instructed by Fulton County Department Heads and their staff.

Participants examine the same kinds of challenges faced by County Staff for a fuller understanding of the business of local government.

Fulton County Citizens University is an annual twelve-week program that is limited to 30 participants. In order to graduate, students need to earn a minimum of 200 credits with students earning 20 credits per class. The registration fee is $40.00 per person to defray the cost of a class shirt, course materials, graduation ceremony, and diplomas.
